Après avoir clarifié le concept d'identité, cette note présente quelques définitions que les Inuit se donnent - ou se donnaient - d'eux-mêmes. L'auteur rend compte de l'identité inuit en fonction de l'environnement social, politique et culturel dans lequel elle se constitue.
Abstract:
This short paper first presents a clarification of the concept of identity and then examines a few definitions that Inuit give - or have given - of themselves. Inuit identity is analyzed in relation to the social, political and cultural environment in which it has developed.
